Neena - Merrily We Live (1938) - It's a wonderful film and in the same vein of My Man Godfrey. If you enjoyed that there are similarities here that you will enjoy as well. Love Brian Aherne and can see why everyone else did too. Enjoy!

Maria - Merrily We Live (1938) - *Billie Burke as the matriarch of this crazy family steals the show!  She was a riot! Lots of slapstick, and the dialogue was tops! Fast and furious. The 2 dogs, for example, are named "Get Off the Rug and You Too.  Good movie when you're in need of a few good laughs. * If it's driving you nuts trying to figure out where you've heard or seen the mother before, here's a clue..."Are you a good witch or a bad witch?"

Angela - Merrily We Live (1938) - I can't say enough about this one! Connie Bennett is simply stunning - her clothes, hair, make up and funny facial expressions are enough to make this movie a hit with me..but the storyline and the supporting actors are fantastic. I split this film into two afternoons because I was enjoying it so much! I plan on re-watching this one..super quality, too, for a movie almost 80 years old!

Watch for the "I'll get the smelling salts!"/fainting scene - hilarious. There's also a scene at a dinner party where Helen, the mother, imitates a senator's laugh - PRICELESS. She is a GEM in this film, the mother. "Morning, fishies!"
